Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management IT Convergence 2015 2015
In 2015, Coeur Mining implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial application across its Argentine and Bolivian subsidiaries, integrating the new deployments into the company’s single Oracle instance hosted in the United States. The engagement addressed slow, manual local reporting and purchase order processes by bringing standardized Oracle Financials functionality to South America, with an emphasis on local regulatory compliance and centralized financial visibility for corporate headquarters. The implementation included Oracle Financials 11.5.9 modules, specifically Oracle Cash Management 11.5.9, Oracle Fixed Assets 11.5.9, Oracle General Ledger 11.5.9, Oracle Inventory 11.5.9, and Oracle Purchasing 11.5.9. Functional workstreams focused on centralizing cash management and accounts payable to standardize cash flow, replacing manual inventory control with Oracle Inventory, and moving month end closing out of Excel into Oracle General Ledger. Purchasing was customized to produce purchase orders that comply with Argentine regulations and to generate cargo manifest invoices that meet local standards. Deployment architecture combined on-site and remote delivery, with three IT Convergence consultants onsite in Argentina for a five month period and subsequent remote implementation work from the Buenos Aires office to the Bolivian subsidiary. Both Argentine and Bolivian subsidiaries were integrated into the existing U.S. Oracle instance, marking the first time the company extended subsidiary operations through the main server in the United States and enabling a unified application instance for multinational financial processing. Governance and process changes centralized accounting and transaction workflows, standardized purchase order processing through Oracle Purchasing, and introduced localized configurations where standard Oracle functionality did not meet country specific rules. IT Convergence provided Latin American localization expertise and remote service delivery to reinforce on-site consulting, supporting a coordinated rollout and handoff to corporate finance for consolidated reporting. Explicit outcomes reported by the customer include a reduction in the time required to complete month end closings by more than half, instant availability of financial information to world headquarters, replacement of decentralized manual purchase order controls with an automated Oracle Purchasing workflow, and increased confidence in consolidating Oracle Applications into a single global instance. IT Convergence was affirmed as the implementation partner capable of supporting future ERP initiatives.

Governance was formalized through centralized compensation policies and authorization matrices, with HR and compensation committees using the application for review and sign-off workflows. Operational scope centered on HR, talent and reward functions, with configuration emphasizing security controls, reporting for total compensation visibility, and documented process workflows for recurring annual cycles.

Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite - Fixed Assets Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations IT Convergence 2015 2015
In 2015, Coeur Mining implemented Oracle E-Business Suite - Fixed Assets as part of an Enterprise Asset Management deployment to centralize finance and asset accounting functions. The Oracle E-Business Suite - Fixed Assets project was executed as part of a broader Oracle Financials rollout and was integrated into Coeur Mining’s single Oracle instance hosted in the United States, with IT Convergence serving as the system integrator. Functional scope included Oracle Fixed Assets alongside Oracle Cash Management, Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Inventory, Oracle Purchasing and Accounts Payables within the Oracle E-Business Suite - Fixed Assets environment. Configurations emphasized Latin American localization, including purchase order formatting to meet Argentine regulations, cargo manifest invoice generation, and localized tax and financial reporting adjustments required for the Argentine and Bolivian subsidiaries. The deployment architecture relied on the corporate Oracle instance in the United States to provision subsidiary operations in Argentina and Bolivia, combining on-site and remote delivery. Operational coverage targeted finance, treasury, procurement, inventory control and month-end accounting at both subsidiaries, centralizing transaction processing and inventory control into the Enterprise Asset Management platform. Rollout and governance combined a five month on-site engagement in Argentina with three IT Convergence consultants, followed by remote implementation work for the Bolivian subsidiary to align local processes with corporate accounting and reporting standards. Governance changes included standardized purchase order workflows, centralized cash management controls and consolidated month-end close procedures, with localized exceptions handled through configuration and localization rather than custom extensions. The implementation automated previously manual inventory control through Oracle Inventory, standardized purchasing and cash processes via Oracle Purchasing and Cash Management, and centralized financial reporting into the corporate instance. Coeur Mining reported a reduction in month-end closing time by more than half and achieved immediate access to subsidiary financials at headquarters, establishing a foundation for consolidating Oracle Applications into a single global instance.
