Tungsten Automation Legacy Kofax MarkView AP Automation ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Consolidated Edison implemented Kofax MarkView as part of an AP Automation program alongside an Oracle Applications Financials upgrade from R12.1.3 to 12.2.5. The work focused on Procure to Pay controls and invoice lifecycle automation supporting Accounts Payable, approval workflows and purchasing processes at Consolidated Edison’s Irving Place operations. The implementation re-architected invoice capture and approval flows and configured Kofax MarkView together with Oracle Accounts Payable, Approval Management Engine and Purchasing modules to centralize invoice ingestion and routing. Custom extraction logic and process designs were applied to Kofax MarkView to support reporting and downstream finance requirements, including a bespoke extraction program to feed 1099 Pro for tax reporting. Integrations were implemented to link Kofax MarkView with Oracle AP through an engine call pattern, and RICE Objects were developed to support bank integrations, stale check handling, P Card interfaces and HR employee updates. Partner Interface EDI programs were developed to carry pricing, quoting and order information into the financial stack, and conversion artifacts including CV040 were designed for suppliers, customers and invoices as part of the migration effort. Governance and rollout were anchored in requirements workshops with the Data Integration team and business users, a TO BE solution proposal following AS IS analysis, and extensive documentation including training manuals and setup guides. A comprehensive testing strategy was executed in Quality Management with defined test suites, test cases and test scripts, and multiple iterative testing cycles were performed alongside conversion and implementation activities to validate order processing, consolidated shipping and drop ship finance flows.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2024 2025
In 2024, Consolidated Edison upgraded on-premises back-office applications to Oracle Cloud HCM to improve resiliency, redundancy, and to bolster employee self-service with mobile access. The deployment targeted Core HR capabilities for Con Edison, covering the company workforce of roughly 15,097 employees who support service operations in New York City and Westchester County. Oracle Cloud HCM was configured to centralize HR records and standardize workforce data, emphasizing employee self-service and mobile access as principal functional capabilities. The implementation focused on Core HR workflows and HRIS consolidation to reduce back-office fragmentation and to provide a single system of record for personnel information. The architecture shifted core back-office HR processing to the Oracle Cloud HCM environment, delivering cloud-based availability that supports mobile ESS for field and office employees across the utility service territory. The deployment scope encompassed HR and related back-office functions rather than enterprise customer-facing systems, aligning infrastructure changes with resiliency and redundancy objectives. Governance and process changes consolidated HR record controls and streamlined self-service workflows to support mobile adoption and ongoing operational resilience. Since going live, Con Edison has achieved the stated goals of improved resiliency, redundancy, and enhanced employee self-service.
