Continental Mills implemented CornerStone Compensation in 2017 to establish a formal Compensation Management capability. The implementation included configuration and administration of Cornerstone Learning, Performance Management and Compensation, positioning CornerStone Compensation as the centralized application for annual pay cycles and performance-linked compensation activities.
The deployment focused on configuring functional modules for learning administration, performance appraisal workflows and compensation planning, including role based access controls, eligibility rules, compensation cycle templates and manager approval workflows. CornerStone Compensation was configured to support compensation planning processes common to Compensation Management, with structured calibration and worksheet-driven merit and salary planning workflows to align performance ratings with pay actions.
Operational ownership rested with HR and People Operations, administering the application for approximately 600 employees across Continental Mills, with managers operating review and approval tasks through the system. Governance emphasized centralized administration of configuration settings, defined approval chains and process controls to embed compensation planning into existing performance management cycles.
