The county was searching for the right solution to manage this HR challenges they were dealing with.
For financial management, they have used Microsoft Dynamics GP for nearly a decade.
Outcome and Implications
In 2017 they chose WorkForce Software's HCM cloud-based platform called EmprCenter to modernize timekeeping, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Instead of using paper timesheets to record hours worked, employees since 2017 use a combination of badge readers and biometric authentication to sign in and out every day. Those metrics are integrated in real-time with the county’s payroll system for precision in payroll calculations.
Employees can use self-service tools to review their hours and pay statements electronically. By eliminating printed paystubs alone, the county expects to save $20,000 per year in paper and printing costs.
