In 2017, Court Services Victoria implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP Financial platform for the County Court of Victoria. The deployment focused on centralizing financial management to support budgeting, accounts, procurement and commercial matter cost recovery across the County Court which hears over 12,000 criminal, common law and commercial matters annually.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to deliver standard ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, fixed assets and budget control. Implementation work emphasized business process mapping, chart of accounts rationalization, role based security and workflow automation for invoice approvals and vendor payments.
The program referenced experience with electronic document management systems such as iManage, MS Project for project scheduling and DevOps practices for development and release management, supporting integration points between financial records, procurement documents and project controls. Operational coverage centered on finance and procurement teams within the County Court, with the Digital Transformation team managing delivery and transition into business as usual.
Governance was led by the Digital Transformation team with a Project Manager responsible for program controls, procurement coordination, stakeholder management and ensuring effective handover to operational teams. The implementation positions Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, the ERP Financial application, as the technology foundation for central financial operations and ongoing process standardization within Court Services Victoria.
