SAP Legacy SAP R/3 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2006 2006
In 2006, Coveris implemented SAP R/3 as its core SAP R/3 ERP Financial platform to support group and site-level operations across its packaging manufacturing footprint. The 2006 deployment is described in internal IT job specifications as the foundation for further development and optimization of the ERP system, emphasizing coordination within the business unit and the broader Coveris Group. Configuration and functional scope centered on ERP Financial capabilities, including financial accounting, procurement-to-pay and order-to-cash workflows, as well as production-related data capture to support shop floor processes. The SAP R/3 implementation was also extended to enable digitization efforts described by project owners, namely conversion of paper-based processes into electronic records and the creation of electronic batch records to align production and quality workflows with financial postings. Operational coverage included support for site IT operations and infrastructure projects, with explicit responsibilities for 2nd level technical support, hardware care on the shop floor and testing of new technologies at plant level. Project governance was managed through defined IT project management practices, including collection, evaluation and budgeting of IT projects, and coordination between business units and the Coveris Group to prioritize ERP enhancements and infrastructure work. Organizational controls emphasized ongoing application optimization and team development, with technical and disciplinary management of the IT team tasked to support other departments in implementation and adaptation of the SAP R/3 system. The narrative in hiring and project documents frames SAP R/3 as the persistent ERP Financial backbone for Coveris, driving digitization and process standardization across production, quality and finance functions.

Horizon Legacy Horizon Payroll Management Payroll HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Coveris implemented Horizon Payroll Management as its payroll application, deployed to support payroll and workforce administration at the Coveris Flexible Wisbech site. The implementation is identified within the Payroll category and was operated in a mid-market environment supporting approximately 1,000 employees, with day to day administration performed by site HR and administrative staff. Horizon Payroll Management was configured to handle core payroll processing and time and attendance related workflows, including logging overtime, holidays, and sickness events. The administration profile indicates use of Horizon Payroll Management for payroll runs and pay element administration, with routine updating of employee time records and leave data directly within the Horizon Payroll Management application. Operationally the Horizon Payroll Management deployment coexisted with the ADP Holiday System for holiday tracking, with site administrators managing both systems daily. Governance and workflow responsibilities were centered on the site administration function, which coordinated with department heads for issue resolution, maintained contractor paperwork and permits, and controlled production purchase order documentation as part of broader operational control around payroll and workforce administration.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2016 2018
In 2016, Coveris implemented Microsoft Power BI as the reporting and visualization layer while developing procurement-focused data warehouses. The deployment is categorized as Analytics and BI and supported procurement and sales reporting across global manufacturing plants. A senior data analyst led offshore development teams and gathered requirements to bring the project back on schedule and align deliverables to stakeholder specifications. Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards were built from a SQL Server cube created from newly developed procurement tables, supporting spend analysis by plant and a three way match process linking purchase orders, goods received, and invoices. Data flows and ETL were designed to populate fact and master tables, with dozens of DDL scripts and database views created in SQL Server, and SSIS packages and SSRS used to support reporting development. Scheduled refreshes were configured for Power BI and a stored procedure populated a daily log with an 8 am load and notification email for operational visibility. The implementation integrated data extracts from 12 different ERP systems through a HIVE ETL environment, with daily file extracts loaded into fact tables and HIVE scripts modified after user acceptance testing to reflect changed requirements. SQL Server and SSIS provided the data warehouse and cube foundation, while K2 was used to orchestrate master table updates. Analysts continued to rely on Excel and Tableau alongside Microsoft Power BI for ad hoc analysis and iterative report adjustments. Governance encompassed requirement gathering from business and operational analysts, extensive testing of SQL scripts and Power BI reports, and UAT cycles with post UAT script revisions and performance tuning. The senior data analyst owned testing, initial production analysis and ongoing support, overseeing offshore developers and coordinating delivery across procurement stakeholders.
