In 2006, Crown Castle implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in an ERP Financial engagement, upgrading from an Xe implementation to EnterpriseOne 9.0 and migrating financial data from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. The assignment positioned a functional lead for financials to drive configuration, testing and cutover planning for the finance organization.
Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was configured to support Automatic Cash receipts processing and a multi currency ledger setup, including defining AAI structures, currency codes and exchange rate handling. A customized FASB13 processing module was developed to meet accounting requirements for the Leasing and Licensing and Fixed Assets departments, and JDE EnterpriseOne 9.0 financial modules for AP, AR and GL were configured to support standard ERP Financial workflows.
The project executed a targeted data conversion of GSL data from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP into Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, converting AP, AR, GL, Property Management, Address Book, Business Units and AAI setup for the new companies taken over from GSL. Conversion work included mapping of master data and transactional balances necessary to establish financial continuity in JDE EnterpriseOne 9.0.
Governance and rollout were managed through the functional financial lead, coordinating requirements, system testing and departmental cutovers across finance, Leasing and Licensing, and Fixed Assets. Operational scope focused on Crown Castle financial operations and the newly onboarded GSL entities, with configuration and data migration centered on the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Financial implementation.
