In 2024 CS Energy migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform, executing a greenfield approach driven by discovery workshops with key subject matter experts. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on centralizing Finance operations and establishing standardized procure to pay processes across the organization, guided by workshop outcomes that challenged existing business process assumptions.
The implementation configured core Finance modules including General Ledger and Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay workflows, Payroll processing, and Australian tax reporting capabilities such as Taxable Payments annual reporting. Functional test scripts were designed and implemented for Finance and Procure-to-Pay, while new management dashboards, SAP workflow definitions, and training documentation were created to support operational adoption.
Operational scope covered Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Payroll and ICT teams, with on-site reviews at power plant locations to incorporate site-specific procure to pay needs. Program activities included weekly and monthly payroll processing, weekly accounts payable reporting for sites, and a procure to pay project that included change management planning and timeline alignment with business objectives.
Governance workstreams included security access control reviews of SAP ECC access during transition, process mapping of current As-process and recommended To-be processes, preparation and review of business cases for staffing, and engagement with external audit firms Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers for financial year compliance and procurement audits. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation for ERP Financial emphasized process design, controls review and structured rollout artifacts such as test scripts and training to support the finance and procurement change program.

In 2018, CS Energy implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR solution. The program developed the business case, secured funding, and project-managed the initial setup and configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central along with Onboarding and Recruitment functionality, working primarily with the business HR team. The project lead managed development strategies and a detailed workplan, and attended critical functional and integration workshops to coordinate HR master data, onboarding workflow orchestration, and recruitment lifecycle configuration. The implementation leveraged Core HR capabilities to centralize employee records and standardize candidate to hire processes.
Governance was executed through regular reporting to the SteerCo and a formal transition that handed the program to a dedicated full time project manager for ongoing delivery. The delivery team ran functional design reviews and integration coordination across HR and adjacent systems during the build phase. The program delivered on time and on budget, and the effort was acknowledged by the Project Sponsor and Executive GM. Operational impact focused on HR and recruitment functions across CS Energy's Australian operations.
