| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | Augusta Reeves Group | 2023 | 2024 |
In 2023, Decayeux STI migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA as the core of an ERP Financial modernization program. The conversion was executed as a brownfield, like-for-like migration to preserve 22 years of transactional data while moving to an SAP HANA database and Unicode support.
The technical path included an intermediate upgrade from ECC EHP0 non-Unicode to EHP7 Unicode before the SAP S/4 HANA conversion. The ERP scope remained a classic ERP Financial footprint with limited bespoke developments, while the migration addressed database conversion, Unicode conversion, and retention of master and historical data. The project leveraged the SAP data migration cockpit and integrated analytical functions to reduce reliance on legacy ABAP reports, and the roadmap incorporated SAP Fiori for user interface modernization with deployment and training planned into 2024.
Endexar was responsible for preparing the on-premises server infrastructure and SAP HANA foundations, while Augusta Reeves Group led the intermediate upgrade, the conversion to SAP S/4 HANA, user training, and ongoing third party application maintenance. The engagement used a single contract and delivery team model to coordinate the conversion and the corporate split that created Decayeux STI and Decayeux Luxe. The go live was postponed from April to August 2023 to align with a financial close window, with the system split completed at the end of September 2023, and the SAP S/4 HANA ERPs for Decayeux STI and Decayeux Luxe now operational.
Governance emphasized internal capability building, Augusta Reeves trained Decayeux STI SAP experts on SAP Fiori configuration, screen and menu construction, rights and roles, the data migration cockpit, and embedded analytics so the IT department could assume functional leadership. Augusta Reeves will provide TMA while Decayeux STI retains SAP functional expertise and responsibility for incremental Fiori rollouts. The implementation centralized core ERP Financial processing on SAP S/4 HANA and established a governance model that balances external maintenance with in-house SAP ownership.
