In 2006, degewo AG implemented Aareon Blue Eagle as Property Management Software. At the beginning of the year Blue Eagle was successfully implemented at 12 customers and the first large scale project with Blue Eagle 2.0 went live at the DEGEWO Group, covering 90,000 rental units and 600 users.
Aareon Blue Eagle 2.0 was configured to support core property management capabilities typical for Property Management Software, including tenant administration, rent accounting, contract management and maintenance workflow orchestration. Configuration work emphasized standard business processes and central data models to ensure consistent tenancy records and billing processes across group entities.
The consulting and system house consolidated three companies within the DEGEWO group for this complex project, specifically DEGEWO / GEWOBE, KÖWOGE and WBG Marzahn. Interfaces for embedding Aareon Blue Eagle in the DEGEWO IT landscape were established to connect operational workflows and centralize unit and contract data across the group.
Governance workstreams standardized core processes and introduced standard business processes across the consolidated entities, with rollout and operational training aligned to user roles for housing administration, finance and maintenance teams. The implementation was executed as a group wide program and was reported as successfully implemented for the DEGEWO Group.

In 2020, degewo AG implemented Lucanet Consolidation and Financial Planning as its Financial Consolidation and Close solution to centralize group accounting processes. The implementation targeted the consolidation and planning layer used by Group Accounting, aiming to standardize close inputs and improve transparency across the corporate reporting scope.
Lucanet Consolidation and Financial Planning was configured to support consolidation workflows and planning sequences along with data import routines. The deployment included automated transfer of cost categories, cost centers, intercompany information, and data from the fixed asset schedule into the consolidation model, and configuration work focused on mapping these financial dimensions into the consolidation chart of accounts.
The implementation used a hybrid data connection approach, accepting trial balance imports in Excel format and providing direct access to the existing SAP system for source data extraction. Integration points explicitly included the SAP ledger feed and Excel trial balance imports, enabling both batch import processes and direct system connectivity for period-end data collection.
Anette Pühl, Consultant for Group Accounting at degewo AG, reported that the software was implemented quickly and that early effects were visible in improved data quality and transparency. The project emphasized automated data ingestion and standardized consolidation dataflows to reduce manual reconciliation effort during close, with governance centered on Group Accounting configuration and reconciliation controls.

In 2021, degewo AG deployed ServiceNow ITSM as its primary IT Service Management platform and exposed core capabilities through the corporate website for end user access. ServiceNow ITSM is positioned to centralize ticket intake and online self-service inside the IT Service Management function across the organization.
The implementation included standard IT Service Management modules such as incident management, problem management, change management, a service catalog with request fulfillment workflows, knowledge management, and a configuration management database for asset and configuration tracking. Configuration emphasized catalog-driven request routing and workflow automation consistent with ITSM best practices.
Operationally the deployment is delivered via a ServiceNow instance accessible through degewo.de for tenants and employees, and it supports internal IT operations and facilities teams that manage property and workplace services across degewo AG in Germany. The web-integrated service portal functions as the primary consumer-facing intake channel for service requests and incident reports.
Governance and process work focused on centralizing ticketing, standardizing routing and escalation rules, and formalizing change approval processes to align IT and operational workflows. The rollout consolidated service request lifecycle management under ServiceNow ITSM while establishing formal ITSM governance and documented workflows for ongoing operations.
