Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Department for Work & Pensions implemented Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS as its Core HR platform to support human resources and payroll functions across its Single Operating Platform. The deployment positioned Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS alongside Oracle Payroll, Advance Procurement and Financials to provide unified HR, payroll, procurement and finance application services for a cohort of UK government departments. The Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS implementation included configuration of core HRMS modules and payroll interfaces, and integration with Oracle Universal Content Management for document handling. The programme incorporated a Federated Single Sign On solution for Oracle ERP applications and a file based integration pattern to orchestrate data flows between the SOP and other applications, preserving transactional and master data consistency. Integrations extended into enterprise reporting and platform services including Hyperion and Discoverer for financial reporting, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for hosting and rehosting workstreams, and QLIK Sense for analytics consumption. Operational coverage explicitly encompassed multiple government families including Cabinet Office, DEFRA, DfE, Environment Agency, HSE, ONR, Home Office Family and MoJ, delivering centralized Core HR services across those organisations. Governance and delivery were led through a Technical Architect assurance role working with suppliers to ensure an integrated and robust architecture, with a specific focus on connectivity, security and network redesign where applicable. The Technical Architect and Solution Architect responsibilities included oversight of the SOP rehosting project, design of the file based integration pattern, Federated Single Sign On on Oracle ERP and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture.
