In 2008, Designer Brands implemented Infor Lawson as its ERP Financial platform. The Infor Lawson deployment centralized core financial and HR systems to support corporate finance, procurement, payroll, and store-level payment orchestration.
Implementation covered discrete modules for Asset management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Matching, Procurement, Requisition Self-Service, Tax, HR, Benefits, and Payroll. Infor Lawson was configured to support transaction processing, accounting controls, supplier invoice matching, requisition workflows, and payroll calculation and benefits administration. The Infor Lawson estate was operated alongside additional applications including Hyperion, BlackLine, OnBase, MHC, ACOM, and Kronos WFC, indicating integration and data exchanges across financial reporting, reconciliation, document management, merchandising and workforce management domains. Management of these combined applications supported end-to-end finance and HR processes, with Hyperion and BlackLine supporting financial consolidation and reconciliation activities. OnBase and Kronos WFC provided document and timekeeping complements to Lawson financial and payroll records.
The team was also responsible for managing ISD payments software that handles store credit, debit, checks, and gift card authorization and settlement, linking transactional POS settlement flows into the ERP Financial record set. Operational scope included corporate finance, procurement, HR, payroll and store operations, with Lawson serving as the finance system of record. Governance focused on application management and operational support for accounting, payroll, procurement lifecycle and payments settlement processes.
