| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala FinanceSuite | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Lufthansa Group implemented Serrala FinanceSuite as a Payment Factory integrated in SAP S/4HANA to centralize, harmonize, and standardize payment processes across the group. The implementation targeted AP Automation across 540 entities with approximately 1,500 bank accounts in 107 countries, with an explicit objective to increase cash visibility and control over group liquidity.
Serrala FinanceSuite deployment emphasized payments and cash management capabilities, consolidating payment orchestration, bank file processing, and treasury controls into a central payment platform. Configuration work centered on flexible rule engines and standardized payment formats to accommodate diverse internal systems and electronic banking systems while enabling automated processing consistent with accounts payable and treasury workflows.
The solution was integrated directly with SAP S/4HANA and connected to multiple electronic banking systems and file formats to enable automated payment execution and reconciliation across entities. Operational coverage included treasury, corporate finance, and accounts payable teams across Lufthansa Group legal entities and regional operations, providing a unified payment processing layer for the enterprise.
Governance efforts standardized payment workflows, centralized approval and liquidity controls, and established an operational model that allows the payment platform to be adjusted and scaled as needs change. The implemented Serrala FinanceSuite delivered a central payment platform intended to grow with the company and to strengthen visibility and control over group liquidity.

| In-House Applications | Legacy | In-House ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Lufthansa Group implemented In-House ATS. The In-House ATS operates as an Applicant Tracking System on the company careers website, providing the public application intake and job posting channel for recruitment activity. The deployment is an in-house application managed by Lufthansa Group internal teams, aligning site-level application flows with corporate hiring processes.
Configuration centers on standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including requisition creation, online job posting, candidate intake forms, resume parsing and staging, candidate tracking across defined recruitment stages, interview scheduling, and offer record handling. Workflow automation and role-based access control are applied within the system to standardize recruiter and hiring manager activities, and configurable templates are used for requisition and posting consistency.
Operational scope covers Lufthansa Group talent acquisition and HR recruitment functions using the careers website as the candidate-facing interface, with system administration and governance retained internally. The In-House ATS is embedded in the website experience, and ongoing configuration, access governance, and process rules are stewarded by Lufthansa Group IT and HR stakeholders to enforce approval workflows and candidate data handling within the Applicant Tracking System.

| Amadeus IT Group | Legacy | Amadeus E-Retail | Reservation and Booking Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Lufthansa Group implemented Amadeus E-Retail within its Reservation and Booking Management environment. The agreement renewed and expanded the longstanding technology partnership with Amadeus and explicitly covers Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and Air Dolomiti, positioning Amadeus E-Retail to power the airline group's digital and retail transformation and to enable innovation and business resilience.
The deployment centers on Amadeus’ passenger management and retailing capabilities, with the Altéa Passenger Service System PSS retained to manage core reservation, inventory and ticketing functions, disruption management at the airport and departure control. Amadeus E-Retail extends these capabilities into merchandising, shopping and airport services, enabling passenger retailing workflows, offer and order management, and passenger servicing across online and airport channels.
Operationally the implementation ties passenger retailing to airline operations and airport disruption workflows, aligning reservation and booking management with merchandising and airport service touchpoints. The scope explicitly spans group operations and airport disruption management, and it is designed to keep reservation, inventory and departure control processes synchronized across the covered carriers.
Governance under the expanded agreement emphasizes operational stability and a platform for further digitalization, as noted by Dr. Roland Schütz, Executive Vice President Information Management and Chief Information Officer at Lufthansa Group. The contract frames Amadeus E-Retail and Altéa PSS as a unified Reservation and Booking Management foundation for continued innovation in passenger retailing and airport operations.
