| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Dexus implemented Workday Absence Management. The Workday Absence Management deployment is part of the Absence and Leave Management category and was delivered alongside a broader Workday Core HCM rollout that included onboarding, goals, merit and recruitment modules.
The implementation of Workday Absence Management covered standard absence and leave workflows, entitlement and accrual rules, time off request and approval routing, and absence reporting and analytics consistent with Absence and Leave Management functional expectations. Configuration work focused on aligning absence type taxonomy and approval hierarchies with existing HR practices while embedding absence workflows into the Core HCM data model.
Integrations were a core element of the technical design, with Workday integrated with Preceda from March 2016 onward. The program also implemented NGA PEX integration with Ascender Preceda, noted as the first Australian PEX go live, creating payroll and workforce data interfaces between Workday and Ascender Preceda systems.
Governance included a complete review of core business processes and optimization to suit the business and the system, with changes scoped across HR and payroll functions. Rollout sequencing aligned absence management configuration with the broader Core HCM modules to ensure consistent workforce data and approval workflows across recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
