In 2011, Dhanlaxmi Bank implemented NewgenONE DPA from Newgen as a Business Process Management solution to automate account opening and service-request workflows across its branch network in India. The deployment centered on Newgen’s OmniFlow BPM platform module, with the NewgenONE DPA application used to instrument end-to-end process orchestration for customer onboarding and branch service requests.
The implementation configured OmniFlow/BPM capabilities for automated account opening workflows and centralized service-request processing, including workflow routing, task orchestration, and document-centric process handling. NewgenONE DPA was used to formalize process steps, reduce manual handoffs, and centralize exception handling, aligning process flows with branch operations and back-office processing.
Operational coverage targeted the bank’s branch network in India and the customer onboarding and operations functions, shifting service-request work from decentralized branch handling to centralized processing hubs. Governance changes emphasized standardized workflows and process controls managed through the OmniFlow/BPM module to reduce paper and courier dependence and to enforce consistent service levels.
The project delivered explicit outcomes reported by the bank, account opening cycle time falling from 19.5 days to under 48 hours, an approximately 3x productivity improvement, significant paper and courier savings, and centralized service-request processing under the NewgenONE DPA Business Process Management deployment.
