In 2018, DigicapeSA implemented HansaWorld Standard ERP. The HansaWorld Standard ERP deployment addressed ERP Financial needs for cash management, receipting, and accounts receivable across the company’s retail stores and workshop operations.
The implementation configured core financial modules including cash receipts processing, accounts receivable ledger, sales order and invoice capture, petty cash controls, and periodic cash reconciliation workflows. Operational tasks documented against the system include capturing Snaps can, Pay Just Now, and PayU receipts in HansaWorld, extracting debtor lists for allocation, posting receipts on account for built-to-order and advance payment orders, and maintaining daily cash float counts.
Operational integration centered on reconciling HansaWorld transactions with daily cash up printouts from CPT retail and CPT Workshop, and on-channel receipt posting from stated online payment channels. Governance and process changes instituted alongside the application include daily cash counts and deposits to store drop safes, weekly and monthly cash counts, formal tracking of overages and shortages, approval gates for cash releases, and responsibility routing for stationery ordering and receiving within the finance and store teams in Western Cape, South Africa.
