COINS Global Legacy COINS HR & Payroll Payroll HCM n/a 2018 2019
In 2018 Diona implemented COINS HR & Payroll alongside COINS TimeFiler to address rapid headcount growth and modernize its payroll and timesheet capture processes within the Payroll function. The implementation targeted construction site time and attendance data collection, creating a single point of entry to consolidate disparate capture points across the business and provide upfront visibility for project cost approvals. The deployed solution paired COINS HR & Payroll with COINS TimeFiler as a cloud-based time management front end, configured for timesheets, rosters, leave requests and real-time interpretation of awards. TimeFiler was implemented to automate calculations of individual pay entitlements including award rates, to surface automated reminders for missing data, and to present an approval workflow for project managers prior to payroll posting. Users access the system from internet-capable devices and native Apple and Android applications, supporting field to payroll data flow. Integration between COINS TimeFiler and COINS HR & Payroll was executed to enable near-instant timesheet uploads and real-time payment updates, reducing manual data entry and reconciliation. Operational governance changes included formalizing a project manager approval point and shifting responsibilities in payroll processing, enabling the Payroll team to focus on payroll execution rather than data collection. Reported outcomes from the implementation include a reduction in payroll processing time from 30 hours to 8 hours per week, a 95 percent drop in outstanding timesheets, and markedly faster timesheet uploads, with the vendor and Diona reporting the project delivered on time and on budget.

COINS Global Legacy COINS ERP Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2019
In 2018 Diona implemented COINS ERP to provide a centralized enterprise application across its civil engineering and construction operations. Diona is a Australia based contractor focused on complex infrastructure projects in water, sewer, gas and electrical services, and the deployment aligned the company with a vendor solution in the Construction ERP category. The implementation of COINS ERP included core financial software together with contract and sales modules, and procurement capabilities. The COINS ERP deployment emphasizes integrated reporting, with CFO level outputs such as cash flow, balance sheets, revenue and costing analyses runnable directly from the financial, contract and sales modules, demonstrating end to end financial and commercial control. Operational coverage for COINS ERP spans finance, procurement, commercial and project delivery functions, reflecting its use across Diona project sites and central offices. The system is described as an easy to use, integrated system, providing a single source of transactional and contract data that supports coordinated workflows across the departments involved in project execution and commercial management. Diona reports long term support from COINS as the business scaled from a smaller firm to a multimillion dollar business, with flexibility and scalability identified as a major benefit and the ability to add integrated modules and advanced functionality as needs evolve. Chief Financial Officer Kathy Dennis highlights the comprehensive reporting options available from COINS financial software, and Procurement Manager Shelley Smith affirms the solution supports her role and recommends COINS to other construction companies.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft 365 Collaboration Collaboration n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Diona implemented Microsoft 365 as its Collaboration platform. Microsoft 365 is used on the company website and was provisioned as a cloud-hosted Microsoft 365 tenant to support collaboration, email and document management across construction project teams and corporate functions. The deployment surface includes Exchange Online email and calendaring, SharePoint Online document libraries with versioning and co-authoring, Microsoft Teams for synchronous collaboration and meetings, OneDrive for Business file sync and the Office desktop and web applications. Architecturally the implementation aligns with a tenancy-based cloud model with Microsoft identity services providing directory and access controls, and an information architecture configured to support SharePoint sites and Teams workspaces for project delivery and site operations. Governance practices reflect Collaboration category norms, including site provisioning workflows, document lifecycle and retention policies, and role based access controls to centralize collaboration for Diona's construction and real estate business functions.
