| MedicalDirector | Legacy | MedicalDirector Pracsoft | Patient Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 | In 2016, Doctors on Macquarie Medical Centre implemented MedicalDirector Pracsoft as its Patient Management application. The deployment supported a community general practice in Liverpool NSW Australia and was operated under a practice manager who oversaw 12 clinical and non clinical staff, with day to day use by GPs, nurses and administrative staff. Configuration focused on core Patient Management capabilities, including appointment scheduling and recall workflows, patient registration and demographic management, structured clinical note templates for clinician charting, and reporting to support accreditation and population health tasks. MedicalDirector Pracsoft was used alongside other office systems the team operated, with staff skilled in Xero Accounting, Deputy and TopBar/CAT4 for administrative and clinical reporting activities. The application supported front office registration, clinician documentation and automated recall lists to assist preventive care follow up. Clinical governance and accreditation workflows were formalized around the Patient Management system as part of the AGPAL re accreditation process completed in 2019 4th Edition, with the practice manager responsible for successful re accreditation. The practice manager also led a six month OPTIMISE Refugee health study with direct involvement from providers, nurses and administrative staff, a project that directly led to an overall increase in patient identification and patient satisfaction. Operational coverage therefore included reception administration, clinical consultations and population health activities focused on refugee health screening and recalls. |
