In 2014, Doehler Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to establish a standardized ERP Financial platform for its finance and controlling functions. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment was positioned as the central finance system to unify accounting, controlling, and statutory reporting across the organization.
The implementation focused on core Financial Accounting and Controlling modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, ledger and fiscal year variant setup, period end closing sequences, and controlling cost allocation rules to support group-level accounting and managerial reporting.
The solution was provisioned as a centralized SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance supporting Doehler Group finance workflows and shared master data for legal entities and cost objects. The architecture concentrated on a single instance model for ERP Financial operations to reduce process fragmentation and to provide consistent financial masters and transactional controls across the finance organization.
Governance and rollout were led by the Team Leader SAP Finance & Controlling, who oversaw module configuration, integration of finance process ownership, testing cycles, and cutover coordination with finance teams. Operational scope covered the companys finance and controlling departments, with governance mechanisms instituted to manage chart of accounts changes, controlling master data, and month end process discipline.

In 2019 Doehler Group implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, deploying SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to govern pay planning within its broader SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management Suite. The engagement centered on Compensation Management as the formal application category, administered alongside Recruiting, Performance Management, Goals, Succession & Development within the same talent suite.
Configuration work focused on standard Compensation Management constructs, including compensation plan templates, pay element and component configuration for merit and bonus cycles, and role based approval workflows. The implementation emphasized structured calibration workflows and compensation worksheet configuration, with templates and rules aligned to the company pay cycles and job structures.
SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was administered as an integrated element of the SuccessFactors Talent Management Suite, operating in close functional alignment with Performance Management and Goals modules to drive calibrated pay decisions. In 2022, Doehler Group implemented Sepasoft MES Enterprise for a greenfield blending and secondary transformation facility in Paarl, South Africa. The project was integrated by Integ South Africa and scoped as a Manufacturing Execution System deployment to deliver batch orchestration, traceability, and recipe control for the new plant.
Sepasoft MES Enterprise was deployed with the Sepasoft Batch Procedure module on the Ignition platform, delivering ISA 88 compliant batch procedural control and scalable recipe management. Configuration emphasized batch procedures, material traceability records, and flexible recipe parameterization to support blending operations and secondary transformation workflows. The implementation followed standard MES functional flows for order driven batching, batch genealogy, and lot tracking.
Architecturally the solution used Ignition gateways and distributed tag collection, with the integration delivering approximately 1.2 million tags across gateways to instrument I O and process signals for the plant. Sepasoft MES Enterprise was configured to manage recipe execution and to centralize batch state and trace data within the MES layer, interfacing with SCADA level data via Ignition. This gateway based architecture supported scalable recipe control and real time batch visibility for operations.
Operational coverage targeted production and quality functions at the Paarl facility, enabling procedural governance consistent with ISA 88 and formalized traceability for blending operations. Integ South Africa executed the integration and tagging strategy to enable flexible batching and improved traceability for the new plant. The deployment delivered extensive tagging, improved traceability, and flexible batching capabilities for Doehler Group in South Africa.
