In 2020, Dollywood implemented Humanity Employee Scheduling to establish a single system for shop schedule management across the park. The Workforce Scheduling deployment centralized schedule creation and enabled schedule authors to switch between individual employee and location schedule views during planning. Scheduling administrators configured Humanity Employee Scheduling to surface potential coverage gaps and to proactively assign shifts for expected drops and peaks in park attendance. Configuration emphasized roster visibility and automated coverage checking consistent with Workforce Scheduling workflows for hourly workforces. The system supported role based separation between central schedulers and shop managers to maintain planning consistency. Managers at most shops now distribute finalized schedules to staff at least three weeks in advance, a process change embedded in the Humanity Dashboard workflow. Humanity Dashboard is used to post important announcements, share pictures, inspirational quotes, and operational updates from around the park to improve frontline communication. These communication capabilities connect scheduling with employee engagement and internal communications functions. Leadership adopted the event log feature in Humanity Employee Scheduling to track requests for time off and shift changes, increasing both employee and manager accountability. The event log acts as an operational audit trail to tackle staff absenteeism and to identify gaps in communication between managers and hourly staff. Operational ownership for these processes rests with scheduling administrators and shop managers. Dollywood reports the most significant benefit as establishing one centralized system for managing all shop schedules, which improved schedule visibility and coordination.
