CGI Ratabase360 was configured to operate as a central rate repository and rating engine, with product modeling and rate upload and validation capabilities. Operational tasks documented by internal analysts include rating new products, uploading rates, cross checking rates and running claim performance analysis, workflows that align with standard Insurance Pricing functional modules such as rate versioning, price tables, and automated rating calculations.
The implementation integrated with IBM AS/400 data feeds and relied on SQL extracts and analyst-maintained Excel models for ad hoc analysis and P&L reporting. Day to day operational coverage explicitly included underwriting teams and commercial finance, supporting quarterly account P&L updates, remuneration calculation processes for major clients, and claims performance monitoring.
Governance was centered on rate validation and cross check workflows operated by underwriting and finance analysts, with control points for rate uploads and quarterly financial reconciliation. The platform supported pricing decisions that underwrote new products, one of which generated more than €1m of net fee in its first year after being rated and uploaded through the system.
