In 2015, doTERRA Europe began a multi year, multi phase digital program that embedded SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) as the primary eCommerce platform, with work commencing in July 2015. The overall program was an SAP centered suite, anchored by SAP S/4HANA 1511 with Fiori for selected user experiences, and included SAP Service Cloud for CRM, HANA Enterprise BI with Tableau for analytics, and SAP SuccessFactors for eRecruiting.
SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) was deployed on premise to provide core eCommerce capabilities, including storefront delivery, catalog management, pricing and order management, and checkout orchestration. The implementation emphasized standard commerce functional flows such as product catalog, customer experience configuration, promotions and order orchestration, aligning web channel behaviors to back end transaction patterns.
The commerce implementation was integrated with SAP S/4HANA 1511 to support master data synchronization and order to cash processes, and with SAP Service Cloud for customer service workflows. Analytical feed and reporting were enabled through HANA Enterprise BI and Tableau, and HR recruiting processes were routed to SAP SuccessFactors while core HR remained on premise. Hosting and managed services were provided by Virtustream, and Deloitte served as the implementation partner for program delivery.
Delivery followed a hybrid methodology, using waterfall for S/4 core ERP phases and agile delivery for the web and commerce releases, enabling phased commerce rollouts tied to ERP stabilization. Governance included cross functional coordination across commerce, IT, marketing, customer service and finance, with process re orchestration to align commerce transactions, CRM interactions and ERP financial flows.
