In 2023 Driscolls implemented Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) to strengthen its Analytics and BI capabilities for Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP reporting and dashboarding across finance and supply chain functions. The implementation is positioned to support operational reporting needs for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Costing, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Order Management and product management processes.
Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) was configured alongside BI Publisher and Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse to deliver interactive dashboards, scheduled reports, KPIs and data models. The program emphasizes development of data marts and analytically oriented data objects, iterative functional specifications derived from business stakeholder requirements, advanced SQL and PL SQL based queries, and template driven BI Publisher report generation.
The implementation integrates OTBI with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data extraction tools and Oracle data platforms including Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database and Autonomous Data Warehouse, and Oracle Data Integrator and OBIEE components as part of the data flow architecture. The roadmap also incorporates AWS data warehouse technologies referenced in the program such as DMS, Lambda, Glue and Redshift to support broader analytics workloads and cross platform data movement when required, while maintaining traceability of Oracle Fusion transactional sources.
Governance and operations are built around role and privilege modeling with Security and Compliance to control data access, an onshore and offshore delivery model for data development and testing, and a ticket and incident process using JIRA for monitoring and root cause analysis. Training, mentoring and change request management are explicit parts of the rollout, with ongoing responsibilities for maintaining KPIs, dashboards, compliance reports and data integrity.
