LS Retail Legacy LS Nav Point Of Sale ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Dublin Airport Authority implemented LS Nav as its Point Of Sale application to consolidate retail and warehouse transaction processing across the airport. The deployment supported the airport retail estate and a third party logistics warehouse environment, establishing a centralized retail application footprint for on-site stores and back-end warehouse operations. LS Nav was implemented alongside MS NAV 2009 R2 and an MS SQL 2008 R2 Navision database, with LS Retail Point of Sales front-end components running on tills, handheld devices, credit card devices and POS peripherals. The technical architecture used server virtualization for backend services, and the configuration emphasized transaction processing, handheld inventory capture and back-office retail functions consistent with Point Of Sale operational workflows. Integrations included Navision interfaces to back-end systems, explicitly referencing Oracle and web services to support cross-system workflows between retail POS, warehouse systems and corporate back ends. Operational coverage spanned retail operations, warehouse logistics and IT support teams, with application ownership including solution delivery, requirements gathering, design and coding for enhancements documented by the retail IT support function. Governance centered on structured change management and user acceptance testing, maintaining a dedicated UAT environment, managing retail change management releases and deploying updates only after user acceptance testing confirmed fitness for purpose. System security and audit requirements were enforced as part of normal operations, and project management practices were applied to ensure on-time delivery of LS Nav related initiatives.
