In 2019, Duratex migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA to consolidate its core financial systems. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation was aligned with the ERP Financial category and targeted centralization of accounting and financial close capabilities across the enterprise.
The implementation configured SAP S/4 HANA financial capabilities including the Universal Journal driven general ledger, accounts payable and receivable processes, cash and liquidity management, and period end close orchestration. Configuration work emphasized harmonizing chart of accounts and master data, adapting financial postings to the S/4 HANA data model, and embedding standard ERP Financial workflows for ledgers and reporting.
Architecturally the deployment combined a central SAP S/4 HANA core with an API Management layer and containerized microservices used for integration and real time interfaces. Containerized microservices were instrumented to handle service oriented integration patterns, while the API Management layer provided governance and routing for external and internal service consumers, enabling side by side extension scenarios and phased cutover of interfaces from the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 estate.
Governance and rollout emphasized master data consolidation, cutover sequencing for transactional migration, and updating finance process workflows to reflect S/4 HANA capabilities. Testing, change management and finance process ownership were structured to align accounting, treasury and procurement teams to the new SAP S/4 HANA operational model.

In 2020, Duratex began the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation as part of a broader ERP platform restructuring known as the SAPiens project. The Core HR deployment used a phased model to modernize personnel administration across business units and to centralize HR master data in the cloud.
Wave 1 started at the end of August 2020 with EPI-USE Brasil as implementation partner and delivered Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll and a roll-out of ECC time management for the Ceramic Tiles business. The Wave 1 production go-live occurred on May 3, 2021, establishing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the authoritative HR record for the initial scope.
The technical implementation focused on Core HR capabilities including master data administration, payroll interfacing, time and attendance capture and HR workflow orchestration. Integrations were implemented to synchronize time data and payroll feeds between Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll and SAP ECC time components to enable end-to-end payroll processing within the SAP landscape.
Operational coverage for Wave 1 targeted HR, payroll and time management for the Ceramic Tiles business unit, with a planned Wave 2 to extend Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll to the remainder of the organization. Governance activities emphasized process standardization, centralized HR data governance and shifting routine transactions to more strategic HR activities.
Duratex reported increases in data accuracy, improved process efficiency and reduced unnecessary operational efforts, enabling HR teams to process information more quickly and transparently. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in the Core HR category was positioned to unify HR administration and payroll execution across Duratex business units.

In 2018 Duratex implemented Tableau as part of its Analytics and BI environment to centralize visualization and reporting capabilities. The deployment complemented concurrent Power BI work and focused on extraction, loading and availability of graphics in Power BI and Tableau to support operational reporting.
Architecturally the implementation centered on ETL and data preparation pipelines feeding a modeling layer consumed by Tableau for interactive dashboards and visualizations. Functional capabilities implemented included data extraction and loading, visualization provisioning, scheduled data refresh and role based access to dashboards, enabling self service analytics for commercial, finance and operations teams. Governance emphasized standardization of data feeds, refresh schedules and access controls to maintain availability of graphics across the organization.
