In 2016, EBOS Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial solution. The deployment targeted the Group's Australasian operations and was positioned to support multi-site financial governance across its network of locations servicing customers in Australia and New Zealand, aligned to the company objective of centralized financial control for a diversified retail and healthcare product portfolio.
The implementation focused on core ERP Financial functional capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, multi-entity consolidation and inventory valuation processes consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns. Configuration emphasized statutory reporting and chart of accounts standardization for Australasia, role-based security for finance and supply chain users, and process automation for month end and intercompany postings.
Operational testing and integration workstreams were explicit parts of the program, with integration testing using an API test harness cited in the scope and automated testing frameworks managed through Azure DevOps. The testing footprint referenced ERP and warehouse management system scenarios, and the program used automated test tooling and performance testing tools in its validation approach to exercise system integration and regression paths.
Governance and rollout incorporated a formal quality assurance track, with responsibilities to analyse and scope testing activities, develop test plans and reusable test scripts, and support defect triage and remediation. Test automation using Selenium and performance testing with JMeter were core capabilities called out for sustained regression testing, and delivery methodologies followed iterative, Agile patterns to align configuration, testing and business process acceptance with release windows for Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
