SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011, Elders implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of its Project Connect initiative, deploying the application to address core ERP Financial functions within the organization. The engagement was driven by the Finance team in Adelaide and centered on establishing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the finance backbone for corporate accounting and controlling processes. A SAP Finance Consultant was assigned to the program from Sep 2011 to Apr 2012 and conducted detailed As is and To be analysis, followed by configuration of the FI/CO submodule. Configuration activities focused on standard FI and CO capabilities typical of ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger structure, accounts payable and receivable workflows, and cost center and profit center controlling alignment with chart of accounts and accounting periods. Operational coverage included corporate finance and accounting functions at the Adelaide site, where the consultant worked with finance stakeholders to map existing processes and define target process flows. Governance and rollout were structured around Project Connect, using process mapping outcomes to drive configuration decisions, stakeholder signoffs, and staged activation of FI/CO components across the finance organization. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation at Elders emphasized FI/CO configuration and process standardization to instrument core accounting and controlling operations, positioning the ERP Financial layer to support ongoing finance reporting and control activities.
