Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, EllenBarrie Industrial Gases implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial solution. The implementation targeted the Bhubaneswar site and aligned Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial to support core finance, inventory and manufacturing operations for the industrial gases business. The production environment ran Oracle Applications R12.1.3 and the workstream concentrated on functional modules including BOM, WIP, INV, PO and OM. Responsibilities documented during the engagement included resolving day to day end user transaction issues with SLA adherence, receiving new requirements and preparing MD50 change requests, testing new development objects prior to production deployment, and day to day functional management of BOM, WIP, INV, PO and OM modules. Operational practices included reproducing client reported defects in a clone environment, logging SRs with Oracle Support and engaging Oracle Support for critical issues, and coordinating with technical and DBA teams to obtain fixes or workarounds. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment supported business functions across inventory control, production planning, procurement and order to cash, with business users engaged daily to ensure transactional flow and issue resolution. Governance and process details emphasized documented change requests via MD50, structured testing before production deploy, tracking and triage of issues logged by end users, and weekly status meetings to update stakeholders. Run problem handling and delivery of temporary workarounds were part of the operational playbook to maintain continuity of financial and operational processes.
