| OpenText | Legacy | OpenText Vendor Invoice Management | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Energy Transfer LP implemented OpenText Vendor Invoice Management as an AP Automation solution to centralize invoice intake and processing for its finance and procurement functions. The deployment targeted enterprise invoice lifecycles and positioned OpenText Vendor Invoice Management as the primary application for capture, routing, and exception handling of supplier invoices.
The implementation used the OpenText VIM stack including Invoice Capture Center, Enterprise Scan, Archive Server and Business Capture Center components to manage document ingestion and OCR based capture workflows. Configuration work focused on VIM and Invoice Capture Center settings, validation of capture rules, and functional design to support an engineer to order environment and SAP related invoice posting flows.
Integrations were defined between OpenText Vendor Invoice Management and SAP ECC plus core SAP modules such as FICO and MM to ensure end to end posting, matching and record to report handoffs. The technical architecture required coordination with Basis, security, development and integration teams to schedule background jobs, manage the archive lifecycle and monitor performance across the VIM stack and SAP interfaces.
Governance and operationalization included a Lead Specialist role responsible for production support, enhancements and project work, creation of design documentation, test plans, cutover lists and training sessions. The program followed SDLC patterns including Agile and Waterfall for solution delivery, upheld change management procedures, and required business analyst collaboration to capture requirements, prepare test scenarios and maintain support procedures for ongoing maintenance.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Energy Transfer LP implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management as part of a broader PeopleSoft HCM upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2. Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management was deployed to centralize absence, time capture, and payroll-related leave processes under an Absence and Leave Management framework.
The implementation configured core Payroll, Time and Labor, and Absence Management modules, including absence plans, time reporting rules, payroll processing configurations, and compliance controls. Configuration work focused on eliminating customizations by leveraging new functionality in PeopleSoft 9.2 and replacing SQR reports with queries where appropriate, reducing technical complexity.
Operational scope covered payroll and time operations across multiple legal entities, with the payroll lead driving an EIN consolidation that reduced the number of companies from 20 to 5 and removed the need to process five separate payrolls. The payroll lead also acted as the primary point of contact for production issues related to Time and Labor, Absence Management, and Payroll, and coordinated and facilitated multiple phases of testing with business owners.
Governance and process changes included documenting requirements with business owners, offering multiple configuration solutions, mentoring staff to stabilize payroll operations, and reengineering workflows to reduce reliance on custom code. Outcomes explicitly recorded in project activity include the company consolidation and elimination of customizations, while ongoing responsibilities emphasized production support, testing coordination, and continued process optimization within the Absence and Leave Management environment.

| SAP | HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) | SAP Enterprise Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Energy Transfer LP implemented SAP Enterprise Asset Management, adopting Enterprise Asset Management capabilities to standardize asset lifecycle and maintenance processes. The SAP Enterprise Asset Management deployment replaced HxGN EAM formerly Infor EAM and targeted operations across Energy Transfer's midstream asset portfolio, with primary business functions including maintenance, reliability and field operations.
The implementation ran on ECC 6.0 on HANA with BI 7, EP, Fiori and Tableau used for reporting and user interfaces. Configuration work included equipment master data rationalization, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order management and notification processing, with BC sets and workflow tasks activated to enforce standardized maintenance workflows common to Enterprise Asset Management deployments.
Security and governance work extended into a parallel GRC program beginning in 2016, where GRC Access Control 10.1 components ARA, EAM, ARM and BRM were planned and implemented to support log review, access request workflows and role governance. Technical tasks documented during the program included setting up ICF services, activating applications, configuring MSMP workflows using BRF+ rules, and implementing custom roles in the HANA database for developers, modelers, administrators, end users and power users.
Operational rollout activities covered project planning, UAT, go live and post go live support plans, plus workshops to gather requirements and produce scope and configuration documents. Governance activities included defining FF IDs, owners, controllers and roles, customizing the segregation of duties ruleset to reflect Energy Transfer's risk matrix, working with audit to develop and document SOD and mitigation controls, and designing SOD free roles to support the Sunoco integration project.
