In 2018, Enventure GT upgraded from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The project positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the company ERP Financial backbone, consolidating core financial management and ERP functions onto a single Microsoft cloud platform. The upgrade followed prior Ax lifecycle work that included a planning and upgrade from Dynamics Ax 2009 to Dynamics Ax 2012 R2.
Configuration and functional work centered on finance and reporting capabilities, including development and maintenance of financial reports and SSRS reporting, and implementation of statutory electronic invoicing for Saudi Arabia and the ZAKAT tax authority with custom services. Manufacturing support was addressed through bill of materials versioning and nonconformance report generation, and cross functional processes were automated to reduce manual steps in production release workflows. Functional training was designed and executed for users across the enterprise to support operational adoption and day to day use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Architectural focus emphasized cloud transformation and data platform enablement, with ERP leadership responsible for architecture and project planning to deliver the upgrade within budget. The Global Integration team delivered distributed real time and batch oriented enterprise integration solutions, and architectural guidance included integration work with Adept engineering software to import inventory parts and release items into the ERP environment. Integration and data orchestration supported finance, inventory, and manufacturing workflows across the organization.
Governance activities included application rationalization and technology investment optimization, with ongoing guidance to business stakeholders to implement best practice solutions for operational issues. The rollout combined technical configuration, SSRS report maintenance, integration orchestration, and role based training to align annual operating plans and long term strategic planning with the new ERP platform. Enventure GT implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial system to centralize finance and manufacturing related business functions.
