| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 EQT Corporation implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial backbone across finance and shared services, following CEO approval to consolidate a disparate application environment into an Oracle Cloud portfolio. The decision was driven through an ERP Request for Proposal process, including facilitated vendor and service provider workshops, requirements gathering, and planning sessions that connected business and technology goals and secured executive sponsorship.
The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment focused on core financial capabilities typical of ERP Financial implementations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidation, and fixed asset management, with configuration aimed at shared services finance controls and standardized financial workflows. Configuration work emphasized portfolio rationalization and process simplification, aligning individual application leads and teams to a common set of processes and policies to reduce operational risk.
Operational integration efforts included folding the $6.7 billion RICE Energy acquisition into EQT’s back office application portfolio, a task described as seamless, and executing the application and shared services divestiture for the Midstream business into the new publicly traded company ETRN. The program also supported selection activities for ETRN’s shared services ERP SaaS platform, a separate rollout that was intended to deliver new business processes and reduce portfolio run rates by over 50 percent.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, with a portfolio manager leading application portfolio rationalization, enforcing critical processes, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver application portfolios on time and on budget for divestiture and acquisition events. The approach combined centralized financial module configuration, standardized workflows, and formal vendor selection governance to align ERP Cloud capabilities with corporate finance, shared services, and transaction-driven integration requirements.

In 2020, EQT implemented ComboCurve ComboCore to automate reserves forecasting and economics within its United States operations. The implementation of ComboCurve ComboCore, a Predictive Analytics application, followed a mid 2020 trial and an October 2020 license, as documented in SEC filings and the vendor case study.
Configuration centered on reserves and forecasting workflows, with implementation workstreams for automated reserves forecasting models, economics calculation automation, scenario simulation, and scheduled report generation. The deployment emphasized model governance, version control, and audit trail capabilities common to Predictive Analytics systems to improve transparency for technical and regulatory review.
Operational coverage focused on reserves reporting and economics teams in the United States, where the solution was instrumented to feed standardized forecast outputs into the company reporting cadence. EQT reduced end to end reserves reporting time from three to four days to three to four hours, and the rollout moved from a mid year trial to a licensed production use in October 2020, with governance changes to support faster review cycles and SEC disclosure requirements.
