| Guidewire | Legacy | Guidewire Canvas | Insurance Claims Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Esure Group deployed Guidewire Canvas for Insurance Claims Management as part of an insurance claim transformation programme focused on a Guidewire claims management systems upgrade. The engagement spanned January 2016 to March 2017 and combined business analysis with agile delivery practices to prepare the claims platform for operational use.
Guidewire Canvas was configured to support core claims workflows, with an emphasis on user interface-driven claims intake and case management and workflow orchestration consistent with Insurance Claims Management requirements. The programme translated business requirements into user stories, and those user stories were refined through regular grooming sessions with developers and the testing scrum team to shape configuration and automation work for Guidewire Canvas.
Data mapping and analysis work supported the migration of customer data into Guidewire Canvas, with explicit mapping artifacts produced to guide cutover activities. Business process models were created using swimlanes to document end-to-end claims handling and to highlight the interactions among claims operations, customer service, and IT delivery teams.
Governance was operationalized through facilitated sprint planning and release planning sessions that captured build and test estimates, and through gap analysis that informed functional configuration and workflow rules. The programme also produced end user training manuals and procedural documentation to support adoption, aligned with the claims, customer service, and testing functions.
