In 2013, Eversafe Rubber Works implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as its ERP Financial application, deploying Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to support inventory, production and finance operations at the Ipoh site. The initiative centered on operational control for monthly stock take processes across raw material, work in progress and finished goods, and connected accounting and management review cycles to system-driven reporting.
Configuration work focused on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 functional footprint, including GST module implementation and AX cost review collaboration with accounts. The team provided ongoing Microsoft Dynamics AX functional support, organized user training, and developed custom Excel VBA reports to meet user requirements and automate routine report distribution.
Infrastructure provisioning included hardware purchases for servers, firewall, network switch, desktops, terminal server and printers, and installation of domain services with Active Directory and an application server. Centerm Thin Client terminals were set up as production terminals to use barcode capture and collect production data for manufacturing execution workflows, and GST implementation discussions and finalization were executed in coordination with TBS CARSER and a TBS accounting software vendor and internal tax consultants.
Governance and process changes were operationalized through a monthly stock take cadence where Eversafe led physical counts, prepared monthly stock take variance reports for accounts and management, and organized variance review meetings with responsible personnel to identify and implement corrective actions. Microsoft Dynamics AX remained the central ERP Financial system for transactional control, reporting and ongoing functional improvements from 2013 onward.
