| Ascender | Legacy | Ascender Preceda Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Excelsia College implemented Ascender Preceda Absence Management to formalize and operationalize a new institutional leave benefit policy effective 01 April 2020. The deployment focused on Absence and Leave Management for permanent full time and part time staff, encoding eligibility rules and anniversary-based entitlement tiers within the application.
Ascender Preceda Absence Management was configured to record a distinct Leave Benefit ledger entry named Leave Benefit, and to apply two service tiers of additional accrual, one week after two years of service and two weeks after five years of service. Accrual logic was set to commence on each employee anniversary, to calculate pro rata entitlements for part time employees based on hours worked, and to enforce expiry so the extra leave does not roll over beyond the anniversary year. The configuration also excludes the Leave Benefit from leave loading calculations and prevents payment of the benefit on resignation or termination.
Operational coverage centered on HR and payroll workflows at Excelsia College in Australia, providing entitlement calculation, accrual posting, expiry enforcement, and a persistent Leave Benefit entry for manager and employee visibility. The Ascender Preceda Absence Management instance serves as the system of record for these benefit entries, reducing manual entitlement adjustments and centralizing absence accounting.
Governance was implemented by encoding the policy rules directly within the Absence and Leave Management configuration, with HR assigned to maintain anniversary dates and to manage exceptions. The policy effective date of 01 April 2020 was embedded into the system rules to ensure entitlements and expiry behavior comply with the college policy from that date forward.

In 2017 Excelsia College implemented Silverband Paradigm as its Student Information platform in Australia. The deployment centers on the Paradigm student enrolment portal My Enrolment, which the institution uses for student administration, grades and enrolment management.
Module usage for student administration, enrolment and records is inferred from the institution's public support pages that reference the Paradigm enrolment portal and the hosted Paradigm URL. Silverband Paradigm provides portal-based student self-service and administrative workflows typical of Student Information systems, including enrolment intake, academic record maintenance and grade capture.
OscilloSoft served as the SI/VAR for the implementation, supporting configuration and deployment of the hosted Paradigm portal. Operational coverage includes student services, the registrar office and academic administration at Excelsia College, with portal access and support workflows published on the institution help site.
