In 2019, Expedia implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform. The rollout followed a cloud migration path from Oracle E-Business Suite and focused on centralizing finance and payment processing capabilities within Oracle Cloud ERP.
The implementation included custom development of PL/SQL and JavaScript based concurrent programs supporting a cloud payment application, development of OAF forms, and enhancements to AP invoice extraction reporting. Finance modules addressed accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, with a Lockbox Receipts and Refunds Analysis Report built to handle multicurrency and USD processing, and AR Cancellation Interface fixes and IFSC code corrections for employee bank accounts.
Integrations were built using Oracle Integration Cloud, with FTP and REST adapters created for SaaS endpoints and REST APIs developed to pull web portal data into SFTP. The integration footprint connected Oracle Cloud ERP with Oracle HCM and Salesforce, and federated identity with Oracle Identity Cloud Service, and interfaces and conversions were executed using FBDI templates.
Operational governance emphasized scheduled orchestration through Oracle Enterprise Scheduler Service jobs and conversion controls for data loads and interfaces. The implementation scope touched finance and payroll related business functions, and contributed specific cloud payment application implementation work and reporting instrumentation to support ongoing operations.

The implementation supported multi channel employee inquiries primarily via email and occasional telephone or in person interactions, and it aligned daily operational shifts to US region support with a US shift starting around 6PM IST.
Governance and process work centered on maintaining and updating benefit program processes and documentation, trending and addressing vendor issues, and analyzing leave of absence programs to streamline administrative burden. The program also extended support to Total Rewards initiatives, coordination of onsite and virtual benefits events, and ongoing re engineering of LOA workflows to improve service delivery and vendor coordination.
