In 2002, FM Global implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as its core AP Automation solution to standardize accounts payable processing across its global operations. FM Global Oracle PeopleSoft Payables AP Automation supported invoice intake, voucher processing, and supplier payment orchestration as the foundational accounts payable business function for the insurer.
The implementation context later evolved into a PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 optimization program, with a Phase 0 analysis and a Phase 1 technical update documented in subsequent engagements. Modules and configuration work focused on PeopleTools upgrades and a modernized user experience, aligning PeopleSoft Payables configurations with Fluid User Interface principles and deploying custom Fluid Homepages, Tiles, and Pivot Grids to improve AP user workflows.
Architecturally the program centered on PeopleTools version management, moving from 8.55 to 8.57 as part of the modernization effort, and instrumenting Fluid UI components for international rollouts. The deployment targeted global employees across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, delivered through remote sessions and recorded training to accommodate distributed AP and finance teams.
Elire performed the Phase 0 current state analysis and supported the technical execution of the PeopleTools upgrade, while FM Global retained operational ownership of payables processing and configuration decisions. Governance changes included formalized risk analysis processes to evaluate whether to adopt new PeopleSoft Update Manager images or to build custom Fluid functionality, and expanded project management and communication practices to support the first fully remote initiative for FM Global.
Risk mitigation and rollout controls were explicit, the project deferred a major PUM implementation in favor of a stepping stone approach and conducted detailed assessments before pulling features from future updates. Oracle PeopleSoft Payables remained the transactional AP system while the organization standardized deployment patterns, training, and Fluid-based UI configurations to modernize AP Automation workflows.

Governance emphasized defined hiring workflows, approvals, and role based access for recruiters and hiring managers. The system served as the primary front end for external candidate engagement and applicant intake.

| Onit | Legacy | OnitX ELM | Legal Practice Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, FM Global implemented OnitX ELM as its Legal Practice Management application to establish a centralized platform for legal matter tracking and case workflow orchestration. The deployment targeted the corporate legal function and aligned OnitX ELM with enterprise collaboration and case intake processes used by FM Global legal teams.
Configuration work tied OnitX ELM to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 components, using customized Dynamics entities and security based forms to surface legal matter data. Development included client side JavaScript, Web API operations, and server side C# plugins to synchronize and update insurance details, plus SSRS reports and single view dashboards that extended Dynamics CRM visualization for legal workflows.
Integration architecture used Power Automate flows and standard and premium connectors to link Dynamics CRM 365 with the OnitX ELM application, and integrated document and communication channels into the stack through Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Outlook. The technical environment used Dynamics CRM 365 SDK, XRM Toolbox customizations, and automated flows to orchestrate data exchange between OnitX ELM and CRM records, with deployments promoted across multiple environments.
Governance and rollout emphasized disciplined development lifecycle practices, including unit testing, bug fixing, environment based deployments, and preparation of system development life cycle and technical documentation. Access control and process controls were implemented via security features, enhanced business rules, ribbon control, and managed form variants to align approvals and intake workflows with corporate legal process requirements.
