The deployment targeted the scheduling organization responsible for nationwide fuel delivery, covering five schedulers and a fleet of 37 delivery trucks, with the project scope focused on run plan design, capacity balancing, and day to day dispatch decisions. ORTEC Advanced Scheduling was configured around the ORTEC OIR optimizer and paired with an in cab tablet based driver app to enable route optimization, dynamic scheduling, and operational dispatching. Functional capabilities implemented included optimizer driven run planning, capacity planning and scenario analysis, scheduling automation for recurring runs, and operational reporting to support scheduler decision making. The implementation integrated scheduling workflows with the driver tablet stack and incorporated process documentation in the ProMapp process mapping tool to maintain operational procedures. Workflows were captured and validated by business analysts and the fuel logistics capacity planner, user acceptance testing was executed against documented workflows, and defects and system gaps were tracked during testing cycles. Governance and rollout were managed through a cross functional project team where the Fuel Logistics Capacity Planner served as subject matter expert, contributing to design, development reviews, testing, and training. The project included structured rollout and training for scheduling and driver teams, ongoing local support and process updates in ProMapp, and was reported as successfully implemented for Farmlands Co-operative in 2020.
