| IRIS Software | Legacy | IRIS CascadeHR | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Fieldfisher implemented IRIS CascadeHR as its Core HR platform to centralize HR administration and personnel records for approximately 1,200 UK staff. The deployment was positioned to support HR Operations and Reward functions, embedding the application into day-to-day HR administration and case management workflows run by the HR Advisors and Assistant team.
IRIS CascadeHR is used to maintain e-personnel records and to manage standard Core HR processes including new joiner onboarding, probation management, fixed term contracts, promotions, internal transfers and leavers. The system is configured for absence and family leave tracking, flexible working requests and secondments, and it underpins regular data audits and ad-hoc reporting such as fixed term contract rosters, maternity records, new joiner and leaver lists, sickness and annual leave summaries.
Operationally the platform interfaces with internal payroll processes by generating payroll instructions and supporting payroll queries in line with established payroll deadlines and SLAs, and it serves as the primary source for reference requests and employment correspondence. The HR team uses IRIS CascadeHR outputs to populate the HR intranet e-noticeboard and to prepare materials for bi-weekly induction sessions and for moderation packs used in the annual salary and promotion review process.
Governance around the implementation emphasized SLA-driven inbox triage, routine data quality audits and structured support for cyclical HR projects including immigration audits, practicing certificate renewal and inclusion and diversity initiatives. Workflow adjustments included centralization of HR administration tasks into the HR Operations function, defined escalation paths to HR Advisors, and the use of CascadeHR as the authoritative record for compliance and reporting.

| LexisNexis | Legacy | Lexis VisualFiles | Case Management, Legal Practice Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Fieldfisher deployed Lexis VisualFiles as its Case Management,Legal Practice Management platform and surfaced Lexis VisualFiles on the Fieldfisher website to support client intake and visibility into active matters. The deployment targeted firm practice groups and client services teams within Fieldfisher's United Kingdom operations, positioning the application as the primary matter orchestration layer for legal workflows.
The implementation focused on core case management capabilities typical for Case Management,Legal Practice Management systems, including matter lifecycle management, configurable workflow automation, document assembly and template libraries, calendaring and deadline tracking, and integrated time capture for billing and fee-earning recordkeeping. Configuration emphasized role-based templates and automated handoffs to standardize intake, assignment, drafting, and closure processes across practice groups.
Lexis VisualFiles was integrated with Fieldfisher's public website to enable client-facing intake forms and case status referencing, and it was connected to internal document repositories and email systems to centralize matter content and correspondence. Operational coverage included legal teams and client services functions that handle matter intake, case progression, document production, and fee recording, with the system serving both front-office matter handlers and back-office practice administrators.
Governance for the rollout established matter-level access controls, standardized naming and template governance, and workflow stewardship for each practice group, supported by configuration-driven forms and approval steps to reduce ad hoc processes. Training and phased configuration updates were used to embed new intake and matter governance processes, and the deployment positioned Lexis VisualFiles as the authoritative system for matter orchestration within Fieldfisher's legal operations.
