| Jack Henry & Associates | Legacy | Jack Henry Banking SilverLake | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 First Commonwealth Bank selected Jack Henry Banking SilverLake to provide enterprise-wide automation. The bank planned an in-house installation on an IBM Power System hardware platform while outsourcing certain data processing functions to Jack Henry & Associates, positioning the new platform as a central Core Banking environment for transaction processing and operational controls.
The Jack Henry Banking SilverLake deployment was scoped to include a broad suite of complementary Jack Henry Banking solutions, explicitly Vertex Teller Automation System, ArgoKeys DepositKeys account opening and administration, NetTeller Online Banking and NetTeller Cash Management, iPay OneClick retail online bill payments, OurCashFlow online financial management, Opening Act online deposit and loan account opening, goDough mobile banking, DirectLine OFX interactive Internet banking, iTalk telephone banking, Synapsys sales marketing and customer service, Relationship Profitability Management RPM, Cognos 10 business intelligence and reporting, jhaKnow data warehousing and reporting, components of Synergy Enterprise Content Management, components of the Yellow Hammer fraud detection and prevention suite, and jhaCall Center. Implementation activities therefore extended across deposit processing, teller automation, online and mobile channels, fraud monitoring, CRM for sales and service, and enterprise reporting.
Architecturally the program emphasized deep integration between the SilverLake core and Jack Henry complementary modules, with explicit capability to integrate third party solutions where required, enabling consolidated transaction processing and centralized data warehousing. Operational coverage targeted enterprise wide functions including retail and commercial banking operations, cash management, branch teller operations, customer service and call center workflows, and fraud prevention operations.
Selection governance reflected a formal evaluation led by executive business integration stakeholders who identified SilverLake for functional compatibility and long term requirements, and the bank positioned the platform as an integrated best of suite solution. First Commonwealth completed a system conversion to SilverLake during the third quarter of 2014 and outsourced certain data processing services, recording conversion related expenses that included $5.6 million in accelerated depreciation and $1.8 million in other conversion related charges for the year ended 2014, while anticipating the IBM Power System hardware to provide a more cost effective environment than the bank's mainframe based system.
