BirchStreet Systems Legacy BirchStreet AP 3-Way Auto-Match AP Automation ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, First Hospitality Group, Inc implemented BirchStreet AP 3-Way Auto-Match as part of a broader cloud-based procure-to-pay deployment across its portfolio of 51 properties. The deployment incorporated the BirchStreet AP 3-Way Auto-Match application within the AP Automation category to address brand compliance, centralized purchasing visibility, and management of a large development pipeline. FHG selected a combination of eProcurement and Accounts Payable modules, including eProcurement with supplier catalogs and easy ordering, Advanced Approval Workflow for multi-level routing and purchase order approvals, and Checkbook Drilldown for line item access and transaction-level business intelligence. The AP 3-Way Auto-Matching capability was configured to reconcile purchase orders, receiving documents, and supplier invoices, enabling automated match logic and exception routing for non-matching transactions. The implementation integrated with Avendra procurement services and programs to enforce compliance with preferred suppliers, program pricing, and rebate capture, leveraging the Avendra-BirchStreet strategic partnership and integration. Operational scope covered corporate procurement and property-level food and beverage purchasing across FHGs national United States footprint, aligning PO issuance, receiving and invoice processing between corporate and on-property workflows. Governance was restructured around system-driven workflows, using Advanced Approval Workflow to formalize approval chains and the BirchStreet AP 3-Way Auto-Match process to reduce manual invoice handling and control off-program spend. First Hospitality Group stated intended outcomes of minimizing labor intensive processes, saving time, and increasing efficiency, control, visibility and profitability through the AP Automation and procure-to-pay configuration.
