In 2018, Forcepoint implemented SAP Concur Travel to centralize employee travel and expense processing. The deployment established SAP Concur Travel as the company Travel Management system supporting accounts payable and corporate travel workflows across multiple departments.
Configuration and operational focus included expense report submission and approval, enforcement of the company Travel and Business Expense Policy, verification and coding of invoices, and support for three way match between invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts. Day to day functions documented during the rollout included reviewing and processing expense reports, entering transaction data into accounting systems, executing the weekly payment run process, and preparing and reconciling monthly accrual entries.
SAP Concur Travel operated in a technical and operational environment alongside the Sun System general ledger and the iOS procurement system, enabling ledger postings, accrual reconciliation, and procurement matching. Governance emphasized accounts payable controls, policy-driven expense review, documentation maintenance, and timely resolution of vendor and employee inquiries handled by AP and finance teams.
