In 2017 Future Group used HackerEarth Platform to run the Future Datathon 2017, a challenge designed to mine customer data and produce machine-learning models and recommendations. The deployment used core hackathon and innovation platform capabilities, including challenge orchestration, dataset ingestion and provisioning, participant submission workflows, and automated scoring and leaderboard mechanics. HackerEarth Platform features enabled structured model submissions, collaboration on code and notebooks, and adjudication workflows, aligning with typical Employee Engagement functionality for internal crowdsourcing and problem solving.
Outputs from the Future Datathon were routed into CRM and customer analytics decision flows, supporting customer insight generation and business decision making across merchandising and marketing teams. Operational scope was India focused, with participation from internal analytics and business stakeholders, and the initiative combined platform-enabled crowdsourcing with cross-functional review processes.
Governance was structured around challenge rules, submission review panels, and controlled access to customer datasets to preserve data governance during the crowdsourced analysis. The effort produced machine-learning models and recommendations that improved customer insights and business decisions, reflecting the HackerEarth Platform deployment for internal analytics-driven employee engagement.

The go live in 2017 anchored a centralized planning layer to manage more than 45,000 product options across the retailer's assortments. The implementation covered core modules including merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, open to buy controls, allocation and replenishment workflows. Configuration work focused on merchandise hierarchies, seasonal assortment windows, OTB controls and allocation rules to link financial plans to store and channel level replenishment. Aptean Assortment Planning is referenced repeatedly to clarify the application relationship to those functional modules.
Integrations and operational scope were banner centric, supporting Big Bazaar and fbb store networks across India and a centralized merchandising organization. Governance was structured around centralized merchandise planning processes and role based planning ownership managed by Future Group merchandising teams, with Ptex Solutions providing implementation services. TXT Retail and Aptos planning capabilities were transitioned into the Aptean Assortment Planning portfolio following the vendor acquisition, preserving end to end merchandise lifecycle management functionality.
