Fyffes Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by Fyffes and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 8700 Fyffes employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that Fyffes has purchased the following applications: SAP S/4 HANA for ERP Financial in 2019, Aptean Process Manufacturing ERP for Manufacturing ERP in 2025, SAP Analytics Cloud for Analytics and BI in 2020 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems Fyffes is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with SAP , Stripe , Aptean or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing Fyffes revenues, which have grown to $1.59 billion in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for Fyffes intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019 Fyffes implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial core and initiated a multi-region rollout that covered Ireland, Canada, EU and UK. The deployment positioned SAP S/4 HANA at the center of transactional finance, while adjacent SAP platforms were used for analytics and planning to support financial and supply chain operations.
The implementation included configuration and operationalization of SAP S/4 HANA alongside BW/4HANA, IBP, SAP Analytics Cloud SAC, CPI-DS, BTP and Cloud Foundry. Technical activities performed included installations, system configuration, development, integration and administration, plus SAP Cloud Connector and CPI-DS agent setup, and configuration of SAP Cloud Identity Tenant for authentication and tenant integration.
Integrations were explicitly instrumented between SAP Cloud applications and on-premises systems, including live and OData connections from SAP Analytics Cloud to BW/4HANA and SAP S/4 HANA, and interfaces to third party analytics and data platforms such as Tableau, Qlik Sense and SFTP. IBP integration used CPI-DS configuration of agents, datastores, projects and tasks, and SAC connections were established for analytic and planning models, story design, Digital Boardroom dashboards, and user profile and role management.
Governance and rollout work consisted of formal requirement gathering, architectural design and cross-system configuration across SAP and non-SAP systems, with ongoing technical support through all implementation phases. The program also included BTP administration on Cloud Foundry, end to end integration with Fiori Gateway, Process Orchestration PO, Solution Manager and Web Dispatcher, and structured deployment across regions to align finance, planning and analytics processes with the new SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial environment.

| Aptean | Legacy | Aptean Process Manufacturing ERP | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025, Fyffes upgraded to the latest Aptean Process Manufacturing ERP Ross Edition, a process manufacturing enterprise resource planning ERP system that serves as the company’s operational backbone. The decision concluded a 32-year partnership with Aptean and followed 14 years on an older release, with the upgrade delivered to leverage modern cloud technology and address end-of-life software and cybersecurity exposure.
The implementation focused on core process manufacturing ERP capabilities aligned to food distribution, including inventory and cold chain controls, lot and batch traceability, quality management workflows, order-to-cash orchestration, procurement and warehouse management, and standard financial ledger integration. Aptean Process Manufacturing ERP Ross Edition was configured to accommodate Fyffes’ multi-origin sourcing and containerized shipping workflows, reflecting the application’s adaptability to process-manufacturing and perishable-goods requirements.
The deployment refreshed surrounding systems and was executed as a largely remote program, with 90 to 95 percent of implementation activities performed offsite and Aptean’s global support structure providing coordination. Operational coverage includes Fyffes’ global distribution network, multiple country partners and delivery to ports across the United States and Canada. Fyffes is positioning internal AI assistants to interoperate with Aptean capabilities and plans to explore AppCentral as an AI-enabled integration layer between Aptean systems.
Governance and rollout were driven by the IT organization’s cloud-first philosophy, minimizing in-house server management and prioritizing business-aligned IT support. The project ran to an ambitious six-month timeline, completed with a one-week delay, and is being followed by a three-year roadmap to standardize custom solutions into the Aptean suite and extend analytics and AI capabilities.
Explicit drivers and outcomes called out by Fyffes include remediation of cybersecurity risk from end-of-life software and a seamless upgrade experience credited to Aptean’s delivery, with the implementation characterized internally as low-impact to operations. Fyffes frames the Aptean Process Manufacturing ERP Ross Edition deployment as an enabler for future AI and analytics adoption while retaining the system as its primary process manufacturing ERP platform.

In 2020, Fyffes engaged an SAP Basis Lead Architect to remediate SAP technical architecture issues after a Greenfield S/4 implementation that went live in a couple of countries. Fyffes implemented SAP Analytics Cloud in 2020 to support its Analytics and BI needs and to surface consolidated reporting across SAP landscapes.
The implementation included full technical architecture documentation describing a hybrid on prem private cloud and SAP cloud topology. Key components and functional capabilities documented and configured included SAP S/4 HANA sizing and Fiori front end architecture with Fiori Launchpad accessed via Web dispatcher, BW/4 HANA for BW and BPC consolidation reporting, and SAP Analytics Cloud integrated to S/4 using the Live connector to create user stories based on Data models.
Integrations explicitly addressed in the architecture included CPI DS, IBP and PO interfaces to S/4, SFTP server connectivity, and content server installation for document management and archival integrated with S/4 for regulatory document retrieval. Operational activities covered database refresh planning from Production to QA with pre refresh and post refresh steps, transport list generation and reestablishing integrations for testing. High availability SAP printing with virtual addressing was also part of the operational design.
Governance and operational controls were formalized through a change management and governance process, identifying change approvers across systems and enforcing strict transport movement to production via CAB approval subject to lead approval and documented testing scenarios. The program identified single points of failure and implemented fault tolerance on virtual machines to improve resilience, executed landscape upgrade planning and managed data center upgrades with regression testing, and performed HANA DB parameter tuning and system tuning using EWA reports. Security vulnerabilities were identified and patched across SAP systems and HANA DB as part of the engagement.
