Oracle Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2021
In 2019, General Dynamics implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of a broader move to cloud-based Oracle suites. The deployment targeted the ERP Financial footprint for General Dynamics Mission Systems and migrated from Oracle E-Business Suite to a standardized set of cloud applications to reduce manual data consolidation and eliminate siloed on-premises finance and supply chain applications. The implementation included Oracle Cloud ERP integrated with Oracle Cloud SCM and Oracle Cloud EPM, and encompassed core financials, order management, manufacturing, procurement, inventory management, supply chain planning, and product lifecycle management modules. The Oracle Cloud SCM manufacturing module was configured to process factory floor work orders, engineering change orders, and quality management workflows, while order to cash functionality unified sales, order fulfillment, and finance into a single management flow. Operational coverage spanned multiple divisions within the General Dynamics Mission Systems business unit, extending from management dashboards to factory floor operations and procurement teams. Near real-time dashboards were built to surface KPIs and metrics for sourcing options, procurement, pricing, order orchestration and status, product configurations, inventory levels, lead times, and demand forecasts to support decision making across finance and supply chain functions. Governance and process changes centralized reporting and standardized processes across acquired companies, reducing the need for manual consolidation and providing a single source of truth for management reviews. The organization realized cloud benefits described in the deployment, including automated processes that improved operational efficiency, reduced system maintenance responsibilities, regular automatic application updates and security patches, scalability, and anytime anywhere access to applications that proved important during the pandemic.

iCIMS Legacy iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System Applicant Tracking System HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, General Dynamics deployed iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System as its Applicant Tracking System on the company careers website, establishing a centralized candidate intake and job posting channel for talent acquisition. The deployment targets recruitment workflows and serves as the primary capture point for candidate applications and requisition management across corporate hiring. The iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System implementation includes standard applicant tracking modules such as candidate lifecycle management, requisition posting, offer workflow orchestration, and integration points for background checks and prehire screening processes. Configuration work emphasized HR operational workflows for recruitment, new hires, terminations, and job and pay changes, enabling HR administrators to prepare and process personnel paperwork and manage candidate screening steps. Operational integrations are explicitly maintained with SuccessFactors performance management and PeopleSoft databases, reflecting a multi-system employee record strategy where iCIMS holds applicant and prehire data while PeopleSoft and SuccessFactors manage workforce records and performance data. Reporting and analytics are supported through a Power BI HR dashboard that ingests data from iCIMS and adjacent HR systems, and HR administrators coordinate time sheet and payroll processes tied to new hire transactions. Governance and day to day administration center in Human Resources, with HR administrators responsible for maintaining iCIMS, PeopleSoft, and SuccessFactors databases, administering background checks and drug screenings, managing HR communications, and updating corporate employee asset and telephone directories. The implementation emphasizes integrated HR workflows between the Applicant Tracking System and downstream HR systems to support hire to onboard processes and ongoing personnel record maintenance.
