In 2013, General Dynamics Information Technology upgraded Oracle E-Business Suite as part of a targeted ERP Financial initiative. The project moved the environment from Oracle 11 to Oracle 12 and concentrated on core finance capabilities, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable configuration and validation within Oracle E-Business Suite.
Execution was a joint effort between GDIT’s internal IT department and outside consultants from Alaris Group, who assisted the AP department with testing, cutover planning, and post upgrade stabilization. Governance emphasized coordinated change control, test plan sign off, and operational handover to finance process owners, and the implementation work centered on application configuration, workflow validation, and readiness for production use rather than the introduction of new modules.

In 2019, General Dynamics Information Technology implemented Workday Recruiting. Workday Recruiting was deployed as the Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System and is accessible on the company external careers site to capture external applications.
The implementation centers on core applicant tracking capabilities typical of the category, including job requisition creation, candidate application intake through the careers portal, candidate lifecycle management, interview scheduling, and offer configuration. Workday Recruiting provides branded career site hosting and candidate self service as part of the deployment.
Operational coverage targets the talent acquisition function, supporting recruiting teams and hiring managers across the enterprise for external hiring. Security and role based access controls are configured to separate recruiter, hiring manager, and HR partner duties within the application.

Career site integration is used to present vacancies and capture applicants directly on the external site, tying the General Dynamics Information Technology careers presence to the Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System instance.

In 2016 General Dynamics Information Technology deployed MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as part of a targeted Analytics and BI initiative, following a technology assessment that produced architecture recommendations for a real time business intelligence system. The engagement was scoped to produce an enterprise architecture design, and to establish a roadmap for business intelligence and master data management at the customer.
The implementation centered on MicroStrategy ONE Analytics for reporting and visualization, complemented by AWS for infrastructure, Oracle for persistent data management, and Python for data orchestration and analytics automation. Functional work included administration and architecture of real time data analytics, delivery of operational reporting, and configuration of MicroStrategy reporting layers and dashboards to support near real time consumption.
Deployment structure used AWS as the primary compute and streaming platform, Oracle as the authoritative data store, MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as the BI presentation and semantic layer, and Python for ETL and analytics scripts. Integration work focused on end to end pipelines that ingested and transformed data into Oracle, synchronized master data, and exposed curated datasets to MicroStrategy for reporting and interactive analysis.
Governance and operational responsibilities were formalized through a business intelligence roadmap and a master data management policy, with Data Manager accountability for system architecture and performance across AWS and Oracle environments. Program leadership also included leading an engineering team to implement the redesign and operationalize ongoing administration of real time analytics and reporting with MicroStrategy ONE Analytics.
