| Exela Technologies | Legacy | Exela Lockbox | AR Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, GM Financial implemented Exela Lockbox as an AR Automation solution to centralize lockbox remittance intake and funds routing. The deployment aligned Exela Lockbox with a contractual lockbox processing arrangement that formalizes mail capture, check processing and deposit flows for receivable collections.
The implementation focused on remittance processing and item handling workflows, including exclusive mail access to a designated lockbox address, multiple daily mail pickups, endorsement and MICR-based check processing, and posting of deposit totals to a designated lockbox account. Exela Lockbox was configured to operate under Processor Documentation and service instructions that define processing cadence, exception handling, and fee schedules.
Operationally the solution connected lockbox deposits to a JPMorgan Chase Bank Lockbox Account, with collected funds routable by wire to a Wells Fargo Collection Account as specified in the processing agreement. The service model preserved trustee and servicer controls, the Trustee retaining authority over transfers and requiring documentation to establish instruction authority, while Processor maintained custody-limited duties and exclusive access to remittance mail.
Governance and contractual controls were embedded in the lockbox agreement, including confidentiality obligations for obligor data, fee and invoicing provisions tied to the Processor Price List, limited Processor liability for nonperformance subject to ordinary care standards, amendment and termination mechanics, successor processor provisions and governing law in the State of Texas. Exela Lockbox, as implemented, therefore served the business function of centralized accounts receivable remittance processing within GM Financials AR Automation framework.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, GM Financial implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to address Compensation Management within its HR and Talent Management functions. The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation application was deployed as part of the broader SuccessFactors suite to centralize pay planning, cycle orchestration, and compensation-related decision workflows across the organization.
The implementation covered configuration and administration of Platform and Role Based Permissions, full Performance Management and Goals modules, Development and Succession Planning, Employee People Profile, 360 reviews, Calibration, and the Compensation module itself. Workstreams included system analysis, functional design, configuration of eligibility and comp-rule logic, and mapping of workforce attributes to support pay-for-performance processes.
Operationally the deployment was implemented inside the SAP SuccessFactors ecosystem to ensure transactional and master data continuity between Employee People Profile, Performance Management, and Compensation Management workflows. The solution supported HR, talent management, and compensation governance processes and was scoped to enable integrated calibration and review cycles alongside performance and development programs.
Governance and support were formalized through business requirements documentation, governance artifacts, and a second-tier support structure responsible for system analysis, administration, project analysis, design, estimation, and documentation. Role based permission models and calibrated review workflows were instituted to manage access, approval routing, and auditability across compensation planning activities.
