The implementation scope covered Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources modules alongside Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service and Field Service capabilities, with the organization adopting Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the single product instance name for Finance-led processes. Functional configurations included inventory batch tracking for animals, transportation cost capture and billing, sales mobile field service access to near real-time inventory, and Power Apps canvas integration to surface batch, weight and distance data directly into invoicing flows.
Integrations explicitly implemented include a new Azure data lake to consolidate Sales and Finance data and Power BI for reporting and data literacy across the business, reducing reporting latency and enabling near real-time visibility. Operational coverage extended to prioritized rollouts across locations with 15 country locations live, specific North America operational adaptations for PIC batch tracking, and enterprise-wide use for Genus ABS and Genus PIC commercial and logistics functions.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, with Genus One process managers driving standardization of processes, shared reporting practices, and automated financial reporting to replace manual workbook consolidation. Outcomes stated by the customer include improved inventory accuracy, a reduction in monthly inventory variance to about 1 percent for PIC, quarterly inventory counts replacing monthly counts, and clearer, near-real-time financial reporting enabled by the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment and its associated Azure and Power BI integrations.

Project delivery included working with third party vendors for digital design and production, and the operational scope explicitly covered Talent Acquisition, HR and hiring manager coordination across Genus locations.
A subject matter expert led design, development and execution of recruitment and onboarding strategies, instituting governance around hiring workflows and stakeholder handoffs with Business Directors. Rollout planning emphasized process redesign for specialized hiring, governance of visa sponsorship workflows and staged global deployment targeting Q1 2021.
