Configuration work concentrated on core financial processing, controlling and cost accounting, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows, HR process automation, inventory and materials management, and plant maintenance transaction handling. The technical deployment used IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers within the IBM Cloud for SAP certified infrastructure and implemented the SAP HANA in-memory database to enhance SAP performance and data-analytics capabilities. The AGM IT team executed the migration in close partnership with IBM Global Technology Services Technology Support Services experts and SAP implementation specialists, with multiple rounds of technical coordination and joint cutover activities. Operational scope covered finance, human resources, customer service, materials and maintenance functions across Abou Ghaly Motors operations in Egypt, with the IT organization and IBM jointly governing migration sequencing and system support during the cutover. The program established a clear second phase to move all SAP ECC instances to the SAP S/4HANA suite on IBM Cloud, with governance and rollout planning carried out as part of the 2020 engagement to transition platform and analytics capabilities.
