Glacier Media deployed Artsyl InvoiceAction by leveraging the Artsyl docAlpha transformation platform to provide intelligent process automation for data capture from both scanned paper and digital invoices. The implementation automated extraction of invoice number, amounts and vendor details, applied validation routines that cross referenced ECM and ERP vendor records, and supported automatic correction of obvious errors while routing exceptions to AP staff for review.
The solution integrated with ERP and EXM systems and accepted input from a monitored mailbox for emailed invoices as well as batched scanned paper, producing transaction records accompanied by a digital image of the invoice. Glacier Media also merged docAlpha functionality with DocLink to centralize document images and support downstream transaction posting, extending operational coverage across the accounts payable team and finance and accounting functions.
Governance shifted to exception driven workflows with defined routing for unresolved items and a straighthrough processing model for validated invoices, reducing manual sorting and double data entry. According to internal reporting from the implementation, the combined Artsyl InvoiceAction and DocLink approach shortened cycle times from weeks to days and enabled the AP team to keep pace with increased invoice volumes as the company grew.
