In 2015, GMR Group deployed TravelGrid Invoice Management in India. The deployment was delivered by TravelGrid with implementation support from Channel Mentor, and it focused on automating travel requests and expense claims to enable a paperless travel and expense process across the organization.
TravelGrid Invoice Management was configured to provide invoice creation and approval workflows, digital receipt capture, and expense claim processing, aligning with standard AP Automation capabilities. The implementation consolidated travel request intake, expense submission, and approval routing into centralized digital workflows, reducing manual paper handling and streamlining approvals.
Operational coverage targeted travel and expense teams and accounts payable functions within GMR Group in India, with role based approval routing and audit trail capabilities implemented to support compliance and financial controls. Integrations are not specified in source documentation, so the deployment emphasized native invoice creation and approval features of TravelGrid Invoice Management rather than named third party system interfaces.
Governance and rollout included establishing electronic approval policies, standardized expense validation rules, and a paperless invoice handling process supported by Channel Mentor during the implementation. AP Automation usage at GMR Group is inferred from TravelGrid Invoice Management's documented invoice creation and approval features, indicating a shift to centralized invoice processing and approval workflows within the travel and expense lifecycle.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 GMR Group implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader Compensation Management deployment across the enterprise. The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation implementation was delivered alongside a larger SuccessFactors suite rollout that automated approximately 60 HR processes and formed a key component of HR technology standardization across the group.
The implementation focused on core compensation management capabilities, including compensation cycle orchestration, pay component configuration, merit and variable pay workflows, and alignment to performance results coming from Goals and Performance Management. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to consume Employee Central master data and to reflect performance and succession inputs, supporting common total rewards and compensation planning workflows in HR and shared service operations.
Architecture and integrations were explicit parts of the deployment, SuccessFactors was integrated with on premise SAP HCM through HCI, single sign on was enabled with Active Directory, and third party integrations were put in place for ancillary HR services. Compensation-related data streams were included in the group data estate, feeding into Azure Data Factory and the group data lake which consolidated HR and payroll related indicators for reporting and KPI delivery.
Governance and rollout followed centralized IT leadership from the group IT SPOC for HR processes, with policy workstreams such as the flexi benefit plan created end to end and standardized across business domains. The IT team led RFP evaluation and digital adoption efforts including enablement for the shared service center, and the deployment was rolled out across multiple business domains and to 60 companies within the GMR Group.
Outcomes recorded alongside the SuccessFactors rollout included automation of 60 HR processes through SuccessFactors modules, linkage into the group analytics program that delivered 354 KPIs via Power BI and Azure Data Factory, and broader SAP HCM presence across airports, energy, infrastructure, and other domains in India and the region. The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation deployment sits within that integrated HR landscape and supports centralized Compensation Management across the enterprise.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) | Plant Maintenance | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, GMR Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) at the GADL Goa site to manage maintenance of airport systems including baggage handling systems, hold baggage screening, passenger screening systems and people movers. The implementation targeted Plant Maintenance workflows for GMRAirport Developers Ltd and centralized maintenance planning and execution across contractor teams totalling about 35 technical staff for BHS and HBS equipment.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) was configured to support preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance workflows, using maintenance plans, notifications and work order lifecycles to enforce PM checklists, SOPs and logbook entries. The configuration included SAP PPM completion report capture, SAP coding for spares, complaint management and structured root cause analysis processes to surface repeated failures and drive corrective maintenance actions.
Operational integrations focused on stores and procurement touchpoints for spares management, PR processes and code creation for new items, plus vendor and AMC interaction workflows for OEM escalation and material sourcing. The PM implementation interfaces procedurally with operational groups including AOCC, AOPS, TOPs, duty teams, FMS and ARFF, and supports statutory compliance checks aligned to BCAS, ICAO, DGCA and weights and measures requirements, as well as customs coordination for screening equipment issues.
Governance was established around KPI tracking such as percentage availability and SLA adherence to preventive maintenance schedules, training of contractor staff, and formalized escalation paths for breakdowns and statutory non compliance. The system was positioned to provide a safe, timely and economical maintenance and repair service while enabling spares planning, vendor management and compliance reporting within the Plant Maintenance category.
